Overview

Cambridge's best-known musical export The Datsuns will return to Auckland on August 30, 2013 as part of a nine-date tour across the country.

The band once considered responsible for the renaissance of garage rock nowadays find themselves based in four different centres of the globe. Bass player and vocalist Dolf de Borst is based in Sweden, where he runs a recording studio with Nicke Andersson of Swedish rock band The Hellacopters, guitarist Christian Livingstone is based in London, building guitar effects pedals as Magnetic Effects, drummer Ben Cole lives in Wellington and guitarist Phil Somervell lives in Auckland as a squash tutor.

Following the release of their fifth album Death Rattle Boogie late last year the band has spent the majority of 2013 on the international touring circuit, including dates in the UK and Europe and a performance on Germany's infamous music television show, Rockpalast. The forthcoming August/September tour will support the release of the band's latest single Bullseye.
