Overview

Kila Kokonut Krew brings you the first Pasifika musical, The Factory. Set in South Auckland, The Factory tells the story of a generation that still exists today, the chasers of love and a better life, here in Aotearoa.

A cast of talented performers is supported by a live chamber ensemble in bringing you this moving story of a family who migrate to New Zealand in search of opportunity. As their journey through a South Auckland factory unfolds, the family will question whether New Zealand really is the land of ‘milk and honey’ it is made out to be.

An original story by Kila Kokonut Krew, The Factory is a musical for our time. Don’t miss out on this unique theatre experience – the four-week season at Mangere Arts Centre promises to be a sell-out hit!
