Overview

Doctor Faustus is one of the greatest roles in theatre, and one of the hardest. So why then would any actor choose to take on a role when they've never rehearsed with the rest of the cast? The guest actor who will brave the daily role of Doctor Faustus is different for every show, so there's no time for a dress rehearsal. Put simply, they know the script, but they know nothing else.

With a new guest performer every night, The Faustus Project will be nothing but a good time for the audience, and a test for the actor — a trial by audience so to speak.

Derived from the original script by Christopher Marlowe, this version — led by Caleb Wells and devised in part with the cast — tells the tale of a man who makes a deal with the devil. Promised money, unlimited power, all he could ever want for 24 years. The catch, Faustus will have to spend an eternity in hell at the end of it — quite the price. Faustus doesn't quite know what he's gotten himself into, and neither do our lead actor(s).
