Overview

Having sold out three nights at The Powerstation during their last visit in 2011, The National will upsize to Vector Arena when they return to New Zealand for a one-off show in February.

Supporting the band's sixth album, Trouble Will Find Me, it's probably safe to say the show won't include a six-hour non-stop rendition of their track "Sorrow", as witnessed earlier this year at the MoMA PS1 art institution in New York. The art piece conceived by Icelandic artist Ragnar Kjartansson saw the band play the song 105 times.

Word has it that Vector will be configured in a free-flow mode whereby attendees have the choice between standing on the floor or being seated in the lower bowl of the arena.
