The Others Way 2022

The streetwide festival known for championing local independent music is finally back.

Great news for music-lovers in the 09: The Others Way will return to Karangahape Road on Saturday, October, 22 for the first time in three years.

Known for exhibiting some of the most interesting, cutting-edge and legendary bands under the alt banner, the streetwide music festival tips its hat to international music mixers CMJ and SXSW, where attendees can map out their own trajectory across a multitude of venues. Previous years have seen stages extend from Whammy Bar to Galatos, The Thirsty Dog, Monster Valley and everywhere in between.

This year the stacked lineup includes legendary New Zealand band Dance Exponents for a special performance celebrating the upcoming 40th anniversary of their debut album Prayers Be Answered. Aotearoa music icon and hip hop pioneer Che Fu will make his festival debut, while festival favourite Nadia Reid also returns to the stage All in all, over 30 acts from around Aotearoa and beyond are set to perform at Auckland's central city music festival and street party.

Tickets are on sale now for $99 per person, plus a $9 booking fee.
