The Reduction Agents

Overview

It's been ten years since The Dance Reduction Agents saw the light of day. The masterstroke was the sole album release from Auckland-by-way-of-Christchurch band The Reduction Agents, made up of acclaimed songwriters James Milne, Ryan McPhun, Bed Eldridge and Jol Mulholland. The album is host of undisputed national treasures: 'Waiting For Your Love', '80's Celebration' and 'Couldn't Anymore'.

To the delight of diehard fans and to mark the release, the album is now finally being reissued on white vinyl. The long-awaited reissue on wax will be celebrated with a blowout at Ponsonby's Golden Dawn. Frontman James Milne, better known as Lawrence Arabia, will reportedly perform a handful of tracks, alongside some Agent affiliates. Staff from Lil Chief Records and Kip McGrath will also be behind the decks.

A track-by-track tribute album also comes alongside the release, including recreations by Tiny Ruins, Liam Finn, Salad Boys, Princess Chelsea, and more. Listen to the whole thing here.
