Overview
Auckland Theatre Company’s young gun troupe Next Big Thing delivers a varied trifecta of spoken word, modern vaudeville and live music theatre in The Selecta.
Skin promises a saucy blend of spoken word and naked flesh as the conversations of eight young Aucklanders are eavesdropped on by the audience. Giant Teeth is a 21st Century freak show, mixing up musicians, circus freaks and ultra flexible thespian contortionists. DNA offers a tragic downward spiral combining the incomprehensibly fatal cocktail of 'English, Maths, and Murder' –as if that wasn’t enough, the thriller is played out to a live DJ soundtrack.
The Selecta will be showing at the Basement Theatre from July 12 until July 26.
