Theatre of Life
This compelling doco will leave you feeling uplifted and hungry.
Overview
Take a trip to the Auckland Art Gallery for a Sunday afternoon film directed by Peter Svatek.
The film tells the story of Refettorio Ambrosiano, a renowned soup kitchen founded by Italian chef Massimo Bottura during the Milan 2015 World Fair. The incredibly kind hearted chef — of three-Michelin-star restaurant, Osteria Francescana — invited 60 of the world's best chefs to join him in cooking up meals to feed refugees and the homeless of Milan. The dishes were created using food that had been wasted, and turned into a delicious feast.
The heartwarming tale will leave you feeling uplifted and restore your faith in humanity.
This event is part of Auckland Restaurant Month.
