Overview

They Might Be Giants (also known sometimes as TMBG) return to New Zealand for the first time in over a decade.

The American alternative rock band formed more than 30 years ago, originating from the East Coast of the United States. The band have produced an astounding 15 studio albums, failing to let up on the studio at any stage throughout their career.

They have spent half their life together in the Giants, and have been responsible for some of the finest nerd rock of the past two decades. Catchy melodies are delivered with a knowing wink & a sly bit of humor, that never crosses over into self-parody.

Their current live act showcases their extensive catalogue of crowd favourites. “Birdhouse In Your Soul”, “Ana Ng”, “Particle Man”, “Istanbul (Not Constantinople)”, “The Guitar”, “Don’t Lets Start”, “Statue Got Me High”, “Doctor Worm”. Also listen out for them premiering highlights from the new album “Nanobots”.

The group have won 2 Grammy awards, one for the album Here Come The 123s three years ago, and the first for their song 'Boss of Me', which has to be one of the most catchy songs ever created. Enjoy.
