Overview

For his debut work, Ash Jones spent the better part of a year preparing a script entirely in iambic pentameter, a type of rhyme scheme in traditional English poetry and verse, most famously used by the wizard of words himself: William Shakespeare.

Inspired by David Lynch films and youthful angst, Thomus is described as a "quick, impactful, psycho-thriller". Factory farmed youth ends with the infusion of buying power. The citizen unit goes from child, to adult. He gets responsibility. But Thomus' family seems to be on the brink. How do we fix things in place? How do we keep things ok? Do we act? Or do we let the market run its course?

Thomus' premiere showing at The Basement features the talents of Milo Cawthorne, Bruce Hopkins, Amelia Reynolds, Arlo Gibson, Michelle Leuthart, Paul Ballard and Oliver Cox.
