Overview

Acclaimed singer songwriter Tim Finn will launch his new album The View Is Worth The Climb at a special one off show, Thursday September 1 at 1885 Britomart. The launch will be the first time New Zealand fans will get to hear the new album live which was recorded in a mere 12 days at Roundhead Studios Auckland late last year.

One of the inspirations behind the album comes from another brotherly band, Kings of Leon, whom Finn is an avid fan of. This makes for a great story behind the album, with Grammy Award winning, US Producer Jacquire King having produced Kings Of Leon's Come Around Sunset as well as Tom Waits, Norah Jones and Modest Mouse.

The View Is Worth The Climb, Tim's ninth solo studio album, is available August 29 and features a number of well known musicians including; Joey Waronker (Beck, REM, Thom Yorke), Zac Rae (Macy Gray, Fiona Apple, Cold War Kids), Brett Adams (The Bads), Tony Buchen (Andy Bull) and Mara TK (Electric Wire Hustle). The title track was also co-written with Australia's leading female artist, ARIA Award winning Megan Washington.
