Wellington hip-hop sensation Tommy Ill (or 'ill' if the second part of his name looks like three capital 'i's to you) is back - and he's looking good with his New Hat and a Haircut. Yep, that's right the eccentric rapper from the capital has released his sophomore album and it's as good as ever.

Maintaining the upbeat and whacky style that Mr Ill has developed over the past 5 years, New Hat and a Haircut is a shit load of fun. Jam packed with clever lyrics and funky beats it's an album that makes you feel like you've got the whole weekend ahead of you. And with that in mind, if you're in AK this Saturday you should get yourself down to the Kings Arms to get sweaty with him.

If you're unfamiliar with Tommy Ill, it's fair to say that he's probably more at home with the indie/electro scene than along side DdotDallas, Scribble or similar. Unpretentious and crazy Tommy Ill knows how to put on a show, so when he joins forces with his on stage hype men Buck, Kelvin and James this weekend the Kings Arms should expect to be get Rick Rolled.

See you there.
