Overview

If you pride yourself on knowing a thing or two about wine, I'm sure you'd want to taste what New Zealand's best wineries produce. But, you can't always zip up and down the country purely for drinking (although, it's a good reason to). Luckily for all our Auckland wine lovers, you'll now have the chance to taste some of the wineries' blends in the comfort of one room.

On Sunday, August 27, The Real Review will be throwing open the doors of the Glasshouse Morningside. Here, wine enthusiasts will be greeted with litres of gorgeous New Zealand wine and a full charcuterie station.

Just some of the drops that will be available on the day are wines from Hawke's Bay's Craggy Range and Church Road, Waiheke Island's Obsidian, Central Otago's Grasshopper Rock and Rockburn and Martinborogh's Dry River Wines. 20 out of The Real Review's 147-strong list of top wineries will be represented at the tasting, with more than 80 wines ready to be tasted.

The tastings run for two and a half hours — one at 12.30pm and another at 4pm, giving you ample time to smell and sip the incredible drops on offer.

As well as the tasting, The Real Review is hosting an exclusive dinner guided by Bob Campbell MW (Master of Wine), who is just one of 300 people to hold the esteemed MW qualification, and the second New Zealander to achieve it.

Campbell will take the diners through 12 wines from the top vineyards, which have been carefully selected to accompany a curated dinner menu, prepared by the team at Grey Lynn's Ada Restaurant.
