Overview

It's the little things that really matter...like shouting your best mate to see one of New Zealand's best reggae, jazz and soul-infused bands. A band whose gigs are few and far between, whose last show was a year ago and who will be playing their latest album alongside classics. Classics like the undoubtedly beautiful 'Home, Land and Sea'.

Trinity Roots are a band that more than delivers when playing live. Hearing Warren Maxwell sing the opening line, "From the tail of the fish, to the top, money all, around this world..." ah I can hear it now, trust me, it will send shivers down your spine.

Like all of the good stuff, Trinity Roots' sound is undeniably their own, a sound they've been perfecting since they first formed in 1998. Releasing classics like 'Little Things' on their 2001 album True and 'Home, Land and Sea' on the album of the same name in 2004, they are about to release their third album, Citizen this year.

They'll be touring Citizen all down the country, but of course, we all know that the best show will be in Auckland, because you're in Auckland and that's how it works right? They're also heading to Australia, so make sure to inform the defectors.
