Overview

Street food vendors Las Masitas can usually be found serving up a contemporary take on traditional Mesoamerican tamales around city markets. In line with their plant-based ethos, the pair also runs a market dedicated to vegetarian/vegan eateries with an overarching theme of zero waste.

Ubuntu is an all-day affair. The name translates from an African philosophy meaning 'community' and 'humanity towards others'. The next edition will take place at Mt Albert War Memorial Hall on 13 October from 10am-2pm.

On offer will be plant-based cuisine from Las Masitas, Lalele Organic Gelato, Ethiopian Coffee and Bread and 7 Siri - Taste of Sri Lanka. There will also be environmentally friendly craft stalls, yoga lessons, composting workshops, and watercolour workshops.
