Overview

If you were lucky enough to catch Vince Staples at Laneway two years ago, you'll be pleased to hear his long anticipated return is finally here.

The Long Beach rapper made his debut appearance on Earl Sweatshirt's first record and inevitably shot to fame. By 24, Staples has produced his own material, from mixtapes to his first album, Summer '06, to his latest 2017 release, Big Fish Theory. His progressive hip hop beats are overlaid with political heavy-weighted messages, angst and passion. Staples has performed alongside A$AP Rocky, Ty Dolls Sign and provided vocals for the Gorillaz track 'Ascension'.

With backing from some of the best in the business, Vince Staples is an artist of longevity, and his illustrious notoriety has already captivated a large New Zealand following.

To catch the hip hop prodigy live, make sure to secure your tickets for his gig at The Powerstation on January 13. It's open to all ages.
