Mangere Arts Centre - Ng? tohu o uenuku

Corner Orly Avenue and Bader Drive, Mangere

The art students at Te Wānanga o Aotearoa explore their culture and identity, connect with mātauranga Māori (knowledge) and understand the value of being a kaitiaki (promoter and protector) of toi Māori.

This is the end of year show for the Masters of Applied Indigenous Knowledge and definitely worth checking out. Coming from an institution that has a different approach to mainstream tertiary providers, the work of the artists is bound to provide you with a different perspective and make you rethink things a little.

If you're usually a central city dweller and are looking for something outside of your usual haunts, check out the show, you're bound to fall in love with the Māngere Arts Centre.
