Overview

Whether you're happiest buried in the shadows of a city's towering buildings, appreciating the acoustics of your favourite music venue or kicking back in our mate's fancy-schmancy apartment, chances are you care about architecture a lot more than you might initially presume.

If you're nodding to that last statement in a mildly enthusiastic "yeah, alright then!" kind of way, chances are that you'd also have an absolute ball popping along to one of Spark Lab's celebrations of architecture and design this month, titled We Built This City.

Britomart's Spark Lab is now presenting their very first Architecture and Spaces Month; featuring a myriad of free-to-attend events and hosted by industry leaders as they share their ideas on architecture, the environment, and how it's being changed by the things we place in it. Featured heavyweights include the bloody talented Garth Falconer from Reset Urban Design (look him up; impressed you will be), who will be presenting an intimate discussion on Tuesday 26 May alongside Jared Lockhart on green city living. They'll be entertaining and enlightening the masses with their insights into creating green city living and how we can make our city spaces work better for our communities.

Because it's a Spark Lab gig and anyone with half a thumb on Auckland's culture pulse knows their events get busy off the chizain, you'll need to sign up to secure your spot, pronto. Check out the full schedule of events over at the Spark Lab site.
