Overview

A collective of music makers and shakers bringing you an explosion of sound with influences from all over the globe, Weird Together are one of those groups that you really need to see live. Lucky for you, on Friday 8 July you can do just that.

Have you ever driven down New North Road, looked out your window at the Mahatma Gandhi Centre and thought, 'hey, that would make one hell of a good gig venue?' Probably not, but aren't you glad someone did? This is going to be a party unlike any other at a venue unlike any other and the Weird Together crew are bringing you a taste of the world's art, culture, sights and sounds.

Four years young, Weird Together is the brainchild of Auckland DJ Nick Dwyer and English producer Dick Johnson. What started as a studio project has turned into one of Auckland's best live acts, with more energy than seems humanly possible.

Last year sold out and was one of those gigs that people were still talking about months later, so do yourself a favour and get tickets while you can. One piece of advice, wear something you can dance in. Even if you're one of those people who never dances and who likes to stand at the back of a gig gently bobbing your head, you'll be dancing.
