Overview

A hard rock festival to rule them all has been announced as the unofficial spin-off to Australia's Soundwave.

The inaugural West Fest will be held at Vector Arena across two days next February 19 - 20, with a head-banging line-up worthy of some horn throwing celebration.

Leading the bill are founders of the nu-metal genre, Korn, who re-united with original member Head and released their eleventh album The Paradigm Shift this year. Horror musician Rob Zombie will make in his first ever New Zealand appearance at the festival, as well as British metalcore band Asking Alexandria, U.S glam metal band Black Veil Brides, Christian metal five-piece August Burns Red and deathcore band Whitechapel.

The line-up is rounded off by iconic metalers Megadeth, Five Finger Death Punch, Eagles of Death Metal, Los Angeles hardcore punk act Terror and Gisborne metal band Saving Grace.
