Overview

Winetopia landed and conquered last year, verifying its title as 'New Zealand's largest wine tasting event' across three sold-out sessions. This year the epic wine quaffing celebration is back and even bigger, expanding to the capital city across two days.

The lineup for 2017 boasts wineries from every wine producing region in the country. As well as offering far too many varietals to swallow in one sitting, the event will give attendees the opportunity to meet winemakers, discover what terms like 'hue', 'flabby' and 'tannins' mean at tasting masterclasses, and school up on tricks from sommeliers about food and wine matching.

Melbourne wine guru Nick Stock will be onboard at the Auckland event to share his vast wine knowledge and quash rumours that Australians only drink wine from a box, while Wellington will welcome the country's most prolific wine commentator and certified Master of Wine, Bob Campbell. As the good stuff sinks in an entertainment program led by comedian Brendhan Lovegrove will commence. The full lineup will be revealed shortly. The first release of $25 tickets includes five wine tastings + a wine glass.
