Contemporary circus more often than not wows with its style and physicality but disapponts with its lack of a cohesive storyline. The Dust Palace aims to address this imbalance with a follow up to their 2012 shows Love or Money and Cirque Non Sequitur.

With a Stranger toys with the concept of duality as the series of scenarios poses the question: Are you a stranger or are you familiar with the things, places and people around you? Armed with this provocation the troupe delves into the deep waters of humanity going far and beyond what bubbles on the surface.

Strongly influenced by the works of acclaimed Montreal circus troupe Les 7 Doigts de la Main (The Seven Fingers of The Hand), With a Stranger features a star-studded cast. This includes Dust Palace company directors Mike Edward (Shortland Street) and Eve Gordon (The Almighty Johnsons) along with respected performers in the local circus art scene.
