Overview

A lot has happened to Wiz Khalifa since he last performed in New Zealand back in 2013. The Pennsylvania rapper released his fifth album Blacc Hollywood, divorced his model wife, toured with pop punk band Fall Out Boy, gained sponsorship to support his self-proclaimed monthly marijuana bill of ten thousand dollars, and was arrested for refusing to get off a hoverboard at Los Angeles airport.

More applicable, Khalifa’s forthcoming performance at Vector Arena will support the release of the breakthrough hit ‘See You Again’. The heart-clenching collab with YouTube star-turned-producer Charlie Puth was created as a tribute to the late Paul Walker, serving in the soundtrack for the film Furious 7. Upon its release, the song broke several records, notching up almost half a billion views on Youtube in just one day and becoming the most-streamed track in one day on Spotify.

In addition to a performance of the track, concert-goers can expect material from Khalifa’s five studio albums, umpteen mixtapes, and countless weed references.
