Global ice cream company Ben and Jerry's is best known for its chunk-filled scoops and bizarre flavour titles like Schweddy Balls and Dave Matthews Band. Now, after dropping a pair of ice cream-inspired sneakers for some reason, the brand has released an over-the-top creation to wrap your hands around.

'The Impossible To Eat Burger' is something for both ice cream and burger lovers. You can forget the humble waffle cone; the frankenstein creation is stacked just like your traditional burger, only the buns are sweet brioche and the patty is a scoop of Ben & Jerry's ice cream.

Hot fudge or caramel sauce can also be added, while Biscoff cookie butter spread and waffle pieces represent the traditional combo of lettuce and tomato. There's good reason why it's described as "the messiest ice cream ever."

The burger is the first in a series of special creations from Ben and Jerry's inspired by New Zealand's favourite fast foods. The burger also comes alongside the launch of Ben & Jerry's latest Auckland scoop shop inside the Commercial Bay shopping precinct.

'The Impossible To Eat Burger' is available for a limited time and is exclusive to the Commercial Bay, Ponsonby, Mission Bay and Christchurch scoop shops. It is also available to order on UberEats.
