As well as its now-open eatery in Auckland's North Shore, the chain has some good news for fans in the mighty Waikato.

The Burger Burger family is growing, with brand-new locations popping up in Auckland's North Shore and further down the motu in Hamilton. The new additions mean that the once-boutique franchise will have eight restaurants to its name, with multiple venues in Auckland, as well as spots in Christchurch and Mount Maunganui.

The North Shore location is first off the chopping block, with Burger Burger Torbay flinging open its doors on Thursday, September 14. The decor of the new digs looks like it was plucked straight out of a 60s diner, aka the type of retro look that burger-lovers have come to know and love since the Ponsonby flagship store opened in 2014.

The walls of the 100-square-metre, 75-person space are lined by custom artwork by Hayley Brown, whose art celebrates top-notch hospitality. The North Shore location is situated smack bang in front of Waiake Beach, providing diners with gorgeous sea views as they chomp down on their burgers.

The Torbay outpost is also adding something a bit different to its North Shore store, introducing Tuckshop by Burger Burger. It does what it says on the can — this little shop can fix you a snack, with local Kiwi operators pitching in to fill its shelves. Tuckshop will be stocked with Fix and Fogg toast, Bowl and Arrow smoothies, Wild Wheat pastries, Two Island sodas and coffee made with Supreme beans.

Next off the rank is the opening in Hamilton East, Burger Burger's first expansion into the mighty Waikato — and a very welcome one. Opening at the start of November, the first Burger Burger in Hamilton will seat 75 hungry diners, and will join MADE, a new urban marketplace that is home to other eateries, shops and creative studios.

Burger Burger has become known for serving up classic burgers with a gourmet twist, which started with the brand's famous beef and cheese almost ten years ago. Since then, the range has expanded to include a soft-shell crab burger, poutine, and a vegan beef and cheese burg. All of your old favourites will be available at the brand-new venues.

Find Burger Burger Torbay at 932 Beach Road, Waiake Beach now — open daily from 11.30am–late.

Find Burger Burger Hamilton East at 401 Grey Street from the start of November — also open daily from 11.30am–late.
