This New Auckland Service Is Offering Readymade Cocktails on Tap

Everyone loves a good cocktail, but when the bar's crowded and everyone's waiting at least 15 minutes just for a pint, you don't want to be that guy or gal who orders an Old Fashioned. Auckland's Cocktails& has stepped in to create a line of 'cocktails on tap' which can be served in just under ten seconds, cutting away on wait times but not on taste.

Made in partnership with a couple of cocktail specialists, the readymade cocktails menu features mojitos (rum, lime, mint and soda), gin sours (gin, Aperol, lemon and Aquafaba), sparkling cosmos (vodka, cranberry and citrus), whiskey sours (whisky, lemon, Aquafaba), margaritas (tequila, citrus, and Cointreau) and espresso martinis (vodka, chocolate liqueur and cold brew coffee). All pre-made cocktails are free from artificial flavours and preservatives.

Cocktails& caters to events, venues and various celebrations. The company has three different sized serving options: The Bike, which can hold up 150 cocktails and is better suited to outdoor gigs; the Small Tap Unit, which is a refrigerated unit that can accommodate two kegs and holds 200 craft cocktails; and the Large Tap Unit, which can be branded and incorporated into a bar setup.

While we're still waiting on an Old Fashioned that doesn't take a decent ten minutes to prep, Cocktails& will in the meantime definitely be saving a lot of humans a lot of time waiting around at the bar, giving you more time to do what you really came to that birthday or hen's night for — to hang out with the people you adore.
