Dan Wilcock from 46 & York named his cocktail Two Days of Summer after the average amount of sun the UK and Ireland receives every year. With the combination of Jameson Irish Whiskey, Glayva liqueur alongside strawberries and lemon, it has got all the perks of summer to withstand any miserable dog day afternoon.

Ingredients

45ml Jameson
15ml Glayva liqueur
10ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
10ml 1:1 simple syrup
2 ripe strawberries
5 Fresh basil leaves

Method

1. Muddle the strawberries with the lemon juice and simple syrup.
2. Add all the other liquids then shake and strain into a chilled Old Fashioned glass.
3. Stir through the basil leaves.
4. Garnish with a strawberry and a sprig of basil.
