Champagne breakfasts are now a happening thing at Botswana Butchery.

Love the 'fun dining' restaurant so much you could eat there for breakfast, lunch and dinner? Now you can with the launch of a brand new breakfast menu. From June 21 the waterfront restaurant will open its doors to the public from 7am to 11.30am, seven days a week.

Places to dine first thing in the morning around the ferry terminal are few and far between. Those working in the city now have a trendy new haunt to host meetings, Sunday brunch fans can enjoy their eggs with harbour views, and ferry commuters can pick up a quick bite on the way into town or before heading out into the Gulf.

The meat-centric restaurant pulls it back for the early morning offerings. The menu features a sweet toasted honey granola which is excellent paired with a freshly blended green echinacea smoothie or juice. On the savoury side there's a classic big breakfast, eggs benedict, Stewart Island smoked salmon and a breakfast sandwich. Botswana Butchery pride itself on using the freshest and most interesting produce. The breakfast selection contains some delicious ingredients including coconut yoghurt, generous use of nutty cress, golden hash browns, market mushrooms and pork and fennel sausages. Meals range from $14 to $22.

As well as the usual beverages, diners can enhance their breakfast with a mimosa, glass of Mumm champagne or a Bloody Mary.

Find Botswana Butchery at 99 Quay St, Ferry Building, Auckland.
