A small sacrifice can make a large difference to those who need it.

New Zealand chef Mark Gregory launched DineAid to create a way for Kiwis to help those in need. By dining at participating restaurants around New Zealand in November and December you can donate $2 at the end of your meal towards food banks in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and their surrounding regions.

In the last five years DineAid has managed to raise almost $500,000 for City Mission food banks throughout NZ with the initiative being supported by names in the food game such as Peter Gordon, Simon Gault and Ben Bayly.

Not surprisingly, many of the restaurants involved this year are frequented by you, the readers of this fine online publication. Such establishments as Andiamo, Cocoro, Clooney and more, are giving you the chance to give a small percentage of your bill to provide others with some much needed nourishment.

For more information and the full list of participating restaurants see here.
