Mexico Is Now Doing Takeaway Fried Chicken

Apparently you've been begging for it for years.

Fried chicken is what draws most, if not all, people to festive restaurant chain, Mexico. In fact the crispy morsels sit comfortably within the ranks of the best fried domestic fowl in Auckland.

The creation of original executive chef Javier Carmona has a slightly different flavour palette to the American, Korean and Colonel versions; at Mexico you'll find juicy free-range chicken breasts coated in a fiery crunch and accompanied by jalapeño and chipotle mayo. Hungry yet?

The good news is that Mexico has finally listened to the people — because apparently you've been asking for it for years — and from this Saturday (1 July) the restaurant will be serving fried chicken as a takeaway option. Pop in to any establishment nationwide, grab a box and eat the glorious fried barnyard animal on your own watch.

Following the opening launch, Mexico's takeaway fried chicken will be available seven days between 12-5pm.
