Overview
It's the majestical hazelnut spread that makes eating chocolate for breakfast an entirely acceptable concept. Nutella is so fondly-held across the globe that it's prompted its own dedicated festival, a toaster-shaped food truck and an honourary burger from the golden arches. Australia even caused a country-wide shortage of the good stuff. Now it's Auckland's turn to get neck-deep in chocolate as a Nutella pop-up gets the green light for the central city.
For two mornings only, on June 22 and 23, Nutella will hand out two free breakfast options to the masses. Menu items include a banana hazelnut bagel, comprising an ABE's bagel topped with Nutella, banana and roasted hazelnuts, and raspberry coconut toast, featuring Nutella, raspberries and toasted coconut chips.
Find the Nutella pop-up in Aotea Square on Thursday 22 June and at No.1 Queen St on Friday 23 June. Both will be operating from 7am – 11am or until stocks last.
