Always looking to reinvent itself and steer away from westernised infringements like corn chips and mince, restaurant brand Mexico has unveiled a lively new menu for summer and Central American holiday Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead.

To celebrate, all locations will be delivering food and liquor specials on Saturday, 2 November, including a new pineapple, passion and cherry slushy margarita for $8. Executive Chef Peter Jackson has also created a fried chicken burger with jalapeño, red slaw, coriander and smoky chipotle mayonnaise in a charcoal brioche bun. Mexico's much-loved fried chicken will also be half price at $8 per bowl.

Further new menu items include: pan-seared lamp rump, stuffed jalapeno poppers, chicken wings in guajillo abodo and six new tacos.
