Chef Nic Watt's contemporary Japanese restaurant MASU is a force to be reckoned with and holds its own amongst the other culinary greats of Federal Street's dynamic restaurant scene. With its open floor plan and prized robata-cooking hearth diners can sit and watch the chefs slow-cook their dishes over open coals, all while sampling the colossal 40-strong sake list.
And the restaurant has a newly introduced Thursday night entertainment featuring DJ Selecta Sam holding down the decks. A regular on the local scene, Sam has opened for the likes of international acts Kings Of Leon and Meatloaf as part of Kiwi rock band Luger Boa.
