Overview

Forking out on both drinks and sustenance during a night out can surely take its toll on your back pocket — unless you're happy partnering up with a bowl of chips. For a cheap and delicious alternative, turn your eyes toward the new dollar tapas bar at La Zeppa.

Taking its cue from the European aperitivo hour, from this weekend the inner city rooftop bar will have the dinner department covered by offering a gourmet selection of its most popular menu items, at a measly $1 per piece. The bar has flipped its typical Mediterranean offerings on their head to create a variety of bite-sized hybrids.

Activated every Friday and Sunday throughout summer, the tapas menu will include delights like: sesame crusted beef koftas on tzatziki, lamb pinchos with walnut tarator, grilled chorizo between pickled red onion and peppers, market mussels with citrus, fried potato towers and prawns dressed in lemon parsley.

The La Zeppa $1 Tapas Pop-Up Bar takes place from 5-8pm every Friday and Sunday.
