Overview
Established nearly a decade ago, the Patrón Secret Dining Society is a covert pop-up that brings together chefs and mixologists in unconventional venues for an intimate dining experience, and loads of tequila. The event is heading to Auckland for its first outing, sometime and somewhere in the not-too-distant future.
Open to 30-50 lucky diners, the event's guest list is decided from those who register with the Patrón Social Club. Like other secret dining events, details of the Patrón Secret Dining Society remain under wraps until the day of — the whereabouts is revealed via a series of cryptic clues.
Previous events have been held in mansions, stadiums, monasteries and out at sea, with diners being looked after by award-winning chefs. The most recent edition in Miami took on a dim sum theme offering "little bites" from Top Chef contestants and liquid-nitrogen cocktails.
Tequila is also a core focus; Patrón uses the experience to educate customers on how to enjoy quality tequila and to change perceptions on the spirit itself —sipped rather than shot. Diners can expect tequila cocktails paired with fine food.
