Overview
Realising that not everyone is blessed with the gift of cooking, street food advocates The Lucky Taco have launched a service that allows even the most oafish of home cooks to recreate restaurant quality food at home. The era of food delivery has officially taken over, folks.
Together with business partners of Charlie's juice fame, Sarah and Otis Frizzel have launched the new weekly meal-kit initiative, Lucky Street, that offers an alternative to current meal delivery services with tried and true recipes direct from some of Auckland's finest street food eateries. Think: dumplings, burgers and tacos.
By signing up, users are presented with two "easy-to-assemble" meal-kits each week. Everything comes ready to assemble and instructional videos are provided via the Lucky Street YouTube channel to help you reach the final destination.
The first three weeks of Lucky Street kick off with a range of tacos from The Lucky Taco, the Smokey Lee burger and bibimbap from Grey Lynn Korean-fusion eatery Tiger Burger, Thai green fish curry from Kingsland's Farang, and pork and fennel potsticker dumplings from Chinese-Malay pop-up Miss Changy's. Further eateries onboard include K' Road curry house Satya and Japanese-Brazilian-Korean fusion Temaki Truck.
