Parnell's Artisan Yarn Shop Is Now Serving a German Breakfast Buffet
Load up on laugen brötchen and sausages at this new weekend feast.
Parnell's unlikely cafe-woolshop brings together gradient yarns, knitting accessories and a rotating selection of German-style stews and soups, pastries and cakes. Named after common social knitting groups that have been operating since at least World War II, the hilariously titled Stitch & Bitch Lounge Cafe arrived last year thanks to Manu Loths, who was born in the baroque city of Ludwigsburg. The store can be found tucked behind the main strip at 225 Parnell Road in an old bakery.
The perfect way to branch out from your typical weekend order of eggs bene, Stitch & Bitch is now offering a German breakfast buffet every Saturday from 9.30 to 11.30am. For $29.50, diners are invited to eat as much as humanely possible.
An ample supply of German rolls will be available, including kaiser brötchen, laugen brötchen, seed rolls and pretzels — supplied by Diehls German Bakery — plus pumpernickel and sourdough. A selection of meats will come from The Black Forest Butchery in Albany, and there will be a bottomless supply of cheeses, muesli, yogurts, eggs and sausages to complete the German breakfast feast. To wash it down try barista hochland coffee or tea.
