After launching a humongous beast fit for four people earlier in the year, Burger Burger has put its "simple, honest burgers" motto back on the shelf and unleashed another eye-popping creation. No longer will you need to hop between the bakery and takeaway joint to craft your own Frankenstein pie-burger; the much-loved chain has done the unthinkable with the latest addition to its special board.

The I Love Pies Burger is a feast for the eyes and an anchor for the stomach. The pie element isn't your run-of-the-mill mince and cheese — I Love Food Co prides itself on using quality, preservative-free ingredients. Here, an angus beef mince and mozzarella pie serves as the base, while the upper half is everything you would expect from Burger Burger. It comes stacked with a wagyu beef patty, McClure's pickles, aged cheddar, mustard, tomato jam and mayonnaise.

Burger Burger is calling the I Love Pies Burger a New Zealand first. Those with their own legendary tale of the freakish food mashup should use this as conversation material at one of the company's Burgers, Beer & Banter masterclasses taking place over the next few weeks.

Burger Burger's I Love Pies Burger will set you back $20. Find it at all Burger Burger locations for the next four weeks.
