From the creators of Auckland's weekend-long French celebration and the country's largest banquet comes a new festival focusing on the entire European Union.

Suitably titled European Wander, the melting pot of cultures will take attendees on a four-day journey through the motherland, from Italy to Germany, Romania to Hungary, Cyprus to Luxembourg and even Brexit — all without the extortionate airfare.

Focus will be put on food, drinks and music, with lots of others surprises in store for ticket holders. Organisers are saying it's something for those who have ever "dreamed of tasting Spanish tapas while listening to Italian opera with a glass of French wine in hand." Stayed tuned for a list of vendors and ticket information.

Originally scheduled for March 2019, European Wander will now land at Queens Wharf from 11-14 July, 2019.
