Three New Restaurants Have Been Announced for Sylvia Park's Dining Lane

It already boasts outposts of Mexico, Better Burger, Wagamama and Garrison Public House. Now, following the recently announced Madam Woo spinoff Hawker & Roll, Sylvia Park's new dining precinct The Grove is set to welcome three more restaurants.

The Grove comes from the folks behind New Lynn's food district The Brickworks — a development previously touted as "Ponsonby Central out west". The Sylvia Park development aims to capture the same magic, and you should hope so with a price tag of $9.1 million.

Joining the aforementioned restaurants will be Cleaver & Co, The Little District and Birdie's Bar and Deli.

Under the slogan "Eat Better Meat, Drink Better Liquor", Cleaver & Co will offer southern style barbecue in a stylish masculine décor — don't expect frills and flowers; a giant smoker will take pride of place in the room constructed from brick, wood and concrete. And if its New Lynn sibling is anything to go by, Carver & Co Sylvia Park will be an absolute mecca for meat fiends.

The Little District has been called "an all-day market place", which will provide local produce, a craft beer dispensary, pizza kitchen, café and espresso martinis on tap. The two spaces, in addition to Hawker & Roll, will be located on the ground floor of a new ten-storey office tower.

From hospitality empire Barworks comes Birdie's Bar and Deli. The "industrial shabby chic" venue will also offer a market format with a dining area made up of large communal tables and booths. To fill the void, shoppers can take their pick from a range of large sharing plates, onsite rotisserie or deli. The space will make up the hub of The Grove with an al fresco dining area.
