Overview

It's been two years since contemporary Chinese bao-mongers Judge Bao and sweet pie queens The Pie Piper took over the kitchen of Coco's Cantina for Viva La Revolution — a marriage of Chinese and American cuisine.

For old time's sake, the eateries will be hosting a reunion pop-up across two weekends in September — this time focussing on three of life's greatest pleasures: beer, chicken and doughnuts. The collaboration will again be held along K' Road, this time at The Pie Piper's newly opened bakery-coffee shop at number 321.

Next-door neighbours Lovebucket Bar will be taking care of the beer situation on Friday and Saturdays, while the two eateries will combine powers for another mashup of Chinese-American cuisine. Given the name — Beer, Chicken and Doughnuts (or BCD for short) — you can definitely expect fried chicken and donuts. Vegetarians will also be catered for with chicken fried tofu.

It only makes sense that the pop-up will work in cahoots with The Pie Piper's doughnut delivery spinoff, Doornuts. We understand doughnut flavours will include: Pew Pew Coconut Cream, Judge Bao Five Spice, Salted Honey, Chilli Chocolate and Coconut Lime.

The Judge Bao and The Pie Piper BCD pop-up will be held from September 8-10 and 15-17. For more information, visit the Facebook page.
