Overview
Much-loved Japanese fusion restaurant Azabu took over Mission Bay's iconic stone building last year, bringing modern Nikkei-style fare to the eastern suburbs. To mark the open, premium spirits brand House of Suntory partnered with the restaurant to present a Japanese-inspired garden — where signature Roku Gin cocktails have since been flowing.
Until Sunday, April 11, Azabu Mission Bay is taking cues from the traditional Tanabata 'Star' Festival, a Japanese celebration centred around love and filled with lively decorations. After making a selection from the Roku Gin cocktail list, visitors to the beachfront venue are invited to share a wish and place it in the Roku Wishing Tree box. There are some incredible prizes up for grabs, including a Yu Mei handbag, vouchers for Azabu Mission Bay, Roku Gin prize packs and other giveaways. Participants must be aged 18 or above to enter the draw.
So you're prepped upon arrival, Azabu Mission Bay's Roku Gin cocktail list is packed with Japanese-inspired concoctions, including a classic negroni enhanced with umeshu plum wine, a summery mule-style beverage infused with wasabi and ginger, and another thirst-quenching gin beverage comprising yuzu sake, elderflower liqueur and matcha.
