BONES

A bare bones concept; just damn good coffee and nothing else.

Overview

Hunter McLeod is the charismatic face behind the bright blue LaMarzocco and brains behind a genius business venture. A hole in the wall ATM came up for lease, and McLeod turned the tiny space into a hip one-man coffee bar, which is becoming inundated with caffeine hungry city slickers.

The Vulcan Lane premises is set in the most ideal location, welcoming hoards of foot traffic per day, which Hunter explains is good for business. "There's a surprising amount of people wandering around after lunch. I advise against drinking coffee after 3pm, but people still do!"

We don't blame them either as the coffee is ridiculously addictive, and isn't for the faint of heart (unless you opt for a latte). The brand of choice is Supreme, and Bones offers their strongest blend yet.

When asked if he'll serve food in future, Hunter believes they'll stick to making great coffee. He thanks good mentors for a strong business plan and explains he has called in "all those favours!"

And they sure did pay off as Bones is one of the coolest little coffee bars in town right now. Positioned in a sweet spot next to the jewellers and across from Cassette 9, just keep an eye out for the rad skull mural and bright blue coffee machine.
