Fact Tree
Facts, food and drinks make a beautiful mix at Fact Tree.
Overview
Did you know that Venus is the only planet in our solar system that turns clockwise?
Reads a little tag attached to my Peach Mango Smoothie ($8). And in fact, come to think about it, I didn't. It's those surprising little factoids dotted across the cafe - attached to each drink ordered and placed on each table, that make the well-hidden Fact Tree a little bit unique.
That, and its food. I tried an eggs benedict with spinach and fried mushrooms ($15), and was surprised at their pretty decent serving sizes. Two eggs, yes two eggs, on two pieces of ciabatta toast. It's a big breakfast, so clear out any plans for lunch - or, like a I saw a group next to me do, share. Besides being big in size, the benedict was big on taste too - although if I was going to be picky the sauce was just a bit too much cheese for my liking, but hey some people like their cheese sauce extra cheesy. So it's a plus or a minus depending on the person I guess.
All in all, it's a stylish and cute cafe hidden away in the suburbs on Sunnynook. Walk through their doors, and you're bound to taste something pretty amazing as well as learning something new for the day.
