Landreth and Co - CLOSED

Overview

Firstly, if you love scones and you haven't been the Landreth & Co, then I have to say, the best is yet to come. Visiting this busy wee Ponsonby Road cafe is almost entirely worth it for a simple order of a date scone. I don't know how they do it, but they're incredible.

Situated between some of Ponsonby's most exclusive retail boutiques, Landreth & Co is the perfect pre-shop breakfast spot, or quick coffee spot. They have an extensive brunch menu including some of the most delicious corn frittas I've ever tasted, and a Big Breakfast that truly lives up to its name.

There's outdoor seating in an enclosed courtyard out the back, and with the addition of gas heaters, makes for a cosy retreat even in Winter. The staff here are awesome and take the time to get to know their customers, which is why you'll see a raft of regulars most weekends.

If you do head along to Landreth & Co and wisely opt for a scone but find they've sold out (a frequent occurance) we'd also recommend the banana loaf which comes drizzled in caramel sauce. Simply delicious.
