Overview

If you're not lucky enough to have a man cave at home, the Barkers flagship on High Street is your place. It is Disneyland for fully grown men. Stop for a coffee as soon as you enter the premise courtesy of Eight Thirty, before heading up a floor to the in-store barbers for a quick groom, and finish the experience of with a made-to measure suit-up.

With 28 stores nationwide, Barkers is well known and loved by those men who take pride in their appearance, and know that everyone takes you seriously in a good suit. From its inception in 1972, the brand has cultivated a reputation for quality fabrics and classic tailoring, as well as always delivering on their promise to transform boys into men with nothing but a quick change of attire.

The label's flagship personifies the brand image well. The store is huge and Chicago art-deco inspired. Marble pillars and high stud ceilings make for a convincing 20's theme, that makes you feel as though you're shopping in a speakeasy. They've even shown their respects for those level-headed individuals who protested the prohibition laws by displaying their names on plaques mounted on dressing room doors. See? Man paradise.
