Huffer Newmarket

Overview

The best part about Huffer is the simplicity of the brand. They do the best basics of most NZ designers, in my humble opinion. Plain tees, easy jackets, and slouchy pants are a recurring theme at Huffer no matter the season; they just nail fashion meets function. In saying that, they do put out some edgier stuff, but it’s their classic lines and silhouettes that you see walking the streets on the daily.

Their Newmarket flagship is on Nuffield Street. It is a decent sized store and has an industrial chic vibe that complements the clothing on offer. The store usually has what is (in my opinion) the best of their range. The staff is friendly, but also helpful. Not just because they will fetch you multiple sizes, but because they give an honest opinion when you ask for it. If you look like a potato in that cute shift dress, they’ll tell you. It’s refreshing.

They’ve got some Nikes and eyewear that are not their brand instore too, so you can often shop a whole outfit without being a walking Huffer advert. Park in the Nuffield Street Carpark if there are no roadside spaces.
