Overview

The Kawarau Gorge Suspension Bridge is where it all began for AJ Hackett — the first commercial bungy jumping site. Bungy jumping is the adrenaline rush to beat all adrenaline rushes. Shuffle up to the edge of the platform and jump 43 metres into oblivion. As the stunning turquoise of the Kawarau River rushes up to meet you, or you to meet it, feel the icy wind in your hair — and your heart in your mouth.
