The World's Biggest Waterslide Is Coming Back for One Last Slippery Ride

Live more awesome.

The World's Biggest Waterslide will return for its final hurrah next February, but you'll have to be lucky to nab tickets.

New Zealanders first got to test out the mammoth slide in 2013 in Waimauku. A purpose built 600-metre inflatable slide was created for the 2015 edition, before the slide was moved state-side and gained an official Guiness certification as 'The World's Longest Waterslide'.

As well as being a brilliant way to spend your afternoon, the slide is an initiative by charity Live More Awesome who seek to increase awareness about mental health — extremely pertinent when one in four Kiwis suffer from depression. The organisation is run by dedicated followers of the "live more awesome" mantra, Jimi Hunt and Dan Drupsteen, both who have suffered at the hands of depression. Proceeds raised by the fundraiser will be used to make a difference to the way New Zealanders perceive mental health.

The slide will be back at West Auckland's Jonkers Farm from February 8-10, 2019. While the 750 tickets were nabbed within 24 hours, you can still register in the hope of claiming a golden ticket. And if you're simply feeling generous, donations can be made to Live More Awesome.
