Win Tickets to the Land Rover NZ Polo Open

A cast of international polo stars will descend on the Auckland Polo grounds in Clevedon for the Land Rover NZ Polo Open this Sunday 21 February. Now in its 49th year, the prestigious Open determines the grand champion of the nation's most highly contested polo tournament.

While the athletes manoeuvre their stallions to hunt a small white ball, the social-elite will be perched on the fringe of the field for an afternoon of schmoozing, canapé scoffing and champagne quaffing. Boasting a score of celebrity guests, high fashion capers and plenty of meeting and greeting, the Open is often referred to as the social event of the summer. A quirky highlight of the event is the “stomping of the divots” where attendees are enlisted to trudge across the playing field, stomping loose dirt back into the pitch, while mixing and mingling with the other guests.

A night of revelry and excess will follow at the official after party. Held in the clubhouse at Fisher Fields, the event will include champagne on arrival, food, and bangers into the small hours courtesy of accomplished disc-jockey, P-Money.
